I scroll sawed all my custom gears it took a really long time too I generated
the gear in a on line program all I needed was the distance between the teeth
and the tooth count and it produced a pic of the gear which I glued to the
metal plate then scroll sawed away.

In short, once I get the index module confirmed, yes. Very accurate

I found an error in the module for index gears. I fat fingered the data
input to the formula and it's wildly wrong as posted. Google won't let me
edit the posting, so I have to upload another copy and post the new lin
Sorry Dan your starting to get outside my expertise I’m a trial and error man I
would take a guess 3d print the gears try and measure the pitch with a dial
indicator and adjust the dia and tooth count to suit I will have to leave the
rocket science to you.

Dan,
Thanks. The "fog" is clearing.
Making a gear or two for a 1-off or 3-off project seems like a way to go -
given what you've shared.
If needing gears for a "long haul", my guess is pony up the pennies and farm
the project out to Tim Z's brother - as he is aa machinist (or at least owns

No worries, mate. Bill can do math upside down and backwards. I've just
posted more updates.
My goal doing all this is to be able to easily extend the capabilities of
my REVO LOM. Specifically, the current shop project is restoring a wooden

I think we may have a "Rocket Scientist" amongst us! LoL!!
Dan - I'm impressed with the level of detail/calculations and questions you
come up with.
Please explain - once you know the module - how do you employ/use it?
Glad you asked the question - but, as you can tell, I have no clue as to wh
Hi guys,
Can anyone confirm my calculations of module for the drive gears and index
gears?
I calculate:
drive gear module = 1.05435
index gear module = 0.09722
These two numbers are in mm and are critical to the accurate production of
gears to work on the LOMs, specifically the REVO.

What Legacy modal do you own?
Owning a second hand machine may offer you some very real benefits that you
arenot aware of. And of a matter of coarse there may be still some MOD's that
you will/ could add to your machine, to make it your own.
Feel free to ask and or add to any t

Nice 👍A bit too pricey for me but it would be fun to use. I search for parts every now and then but need more time in the shop. Jeff from ConnecticutSent from my iPhoneOn Sep 11, 2023, at 10:22 PM, Tim Ziegler wrote:https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/956902408699492/?ref=search&referral_co
