Hello All,
I thought I would toss this question out to hear why you bought your
ornamental mill. For me, I bought my first machine when I wanted to
bring a different level of details to my current work. I was in a real
niche market that I wanted to do some woodworking "tricks" that few
Hello All,
Yes our site is safe (ornamentalmills.com) I just have not updated the

Fantastic. Take some light cuts and have some fun, but be very mindful of
where all your body parts are in relation to the machine. Also watch any loose
clothing. You definitely need to tune the top hat slides. Also make sure there
are no sharp edges on the lead screw and on the carriage

How much was it sagging I initially? Did you do the simple string test to
determine if the rails sagged? You got me curious now

I have a DVD tower that can make four copies at a time. I even was able to put
all of the projects on one DVD. I have blank DVDs and colored envelopes and
even have bubble envelopes ready to go. I was waiting to get my library up,
but I'm having difficulty focusing on it to get it done. You
So the guy in Alaska got my mill since only one was made? As curt pointed out,
I would have not been happy with it anyway. Talk about bringing up old wounds.

So would anyone be a buyer at $5000? If you need the length, I would think
because of the limited availability and the price of our machines should be
going up, not down. Too many people are giving away their machines because they
don't use it and need the space.Just my humble opinion.Tim

I don't think I have shared this web page with the general group...

It's going to be migrated to the ornamentalmills.com site at some point.
I hope it's of some interest as it was to me when I made it.

Here's a little transition to gear talk. I can make any gear that you
need. I've attached a pdf of the possible pitches available. I've made
gears from 10 teeth, all the way up to 135 teeth that needed a little
modification to fit the machine. The 10 tooth is really small and I

Hello All,
Another little missing feature on the rotary table is a method to lock
it in place when making a straight cut. There is excessive play in all
of the gear train. To solve this, I made this little lock for several
members. A twist of the handle 180 degrees and the lock clamps on
More rotary table tweaks I have made. As mentioned in the last post,
the direct connection to of the rotary table to the spindle is how I use
my rotary table. I do not use the crank handle provided that is used
inside the rails. So here's a link to an old page that shows what I did
