Managed to shift the leadscrew to the left.
The fault was the reversing plate it was upside down and inside out It

All is now working o.k.

The small reversing shaft uses the 45 tooth gear.
For right hand twist on the main lead screw I assemble the 45T then the
big washer, then the drive gear I will be using, 60T, then another flat
washer and then set it all tight with the Allen screw and washers or handle.
