I have merged all the events (they were all individual numbers) and printed
the list it's 33 pages... I've been working three hours straight and have
only deleted 3 pages worth.
I'm frustrated... Legacy should have an option to blanket delete an event
... with an "are you sure" and "are you sure y
Do they all have the same "Event Name"? If so, you can go to "View",
"Master Lists", "Event Definition" and then click on "Show List" to
see all individuals who are using that event. You would still need to
go to each individual and delete the event before you could delete the
master event.

I imported a GEDCOM from Gencircles that had a lot of good information from
my cousin but it put a bunch of events that are his software's reference
numbers.
Now I have dozens of events with reference numbers in it that I need to
delete. Now I must find the person who has the event tag, delete th

transfer files over to new formats as they come out. Usually there is a
space of time between tech A and tech B such that you can convert A to B (I

I researched acid free paper about 6 years ago. At that time, most white
paper that you buy in office supply stores is acid free. That does not
include recycled paper. I would stay away from that.
As far as ink goes, it is not acid free. What you do want is permanent ink.

from older times - earlier genealogical programs didn't used to clutter

For one, they claim it lack "lignums"
Don't know the answer re inkjet ink but I suspect it
is acid free just considering the havoc acid ink would
play on nozzle etc.(even recognizing the acidity is
very mild.)

disc? Is the reason that you not have broadband? If you download the updates
from the web with us now being on version 6 the odds are it not much smaller
for you than downloading the full program.

to recall something about the live baptismal places ending up in the
Locations list. Go to View > Master Lists > Locations > and scroll through
the list. If you find one that looks familiar you can try Show Lis

which of course, uses the name Windows, for their main directory. So I
modified the install log by replacing C:\Windows with C:\WINNT, which Win2K

must have a Unique number given. This is the RIN (Record Identification

panel. I noticed I had 2 versions 5.0 & 6.0 so I did 5.0 first. Well it
said it was uninstalling 6.0, so I said OK and finished the uninstall & the

I just had that problem on my wife's computer. When I looked at the
properties for the program it had an old (2005) date. I copied the
(current) setup program I had on my thumb drive to her desktop and ran
that to reinstall Legacy and then it came up fine.
