Yes you can install Legacy to your laptop and your desktop using the
same Customer # - this is part of the licence so long as both
computers are for your personal use.
Legacy has to be installed to both computers. You can't copy Program
files from one computer to another and expect

How are you getting the info from the laptop? Is it on a network or a CDRom.
The reason for asking is that copying files to CD and then trying to access
them on another machine tends to give grief as they are readonly. If the
file is on a CD then copy to the hard disk, change to Read/write
