I assumed June was sourcing a Citizenship Event and had a Master
Source for Australian Citizenship Certificates or whatever they are
called - how ignorant I am - and was putting the details for each in
the Source Detail.

Tagging is not an option for the Ancestor Report. If, say, you are starting
from yourself then have you consdered unlinking yourself and your mother from
your father and then create the report?

In Family View right click on the marriage details (ie the bar below the
individuals' data) and you will see on the pop-up unlink from husband. Click on
this and it will leave you attached only to your mother.
You can always marry them again later.

husband or wife. It does make a difference if you want the children to be
retained by one particular spouse.

You can always have a "master file" - and then do a FILE, SAVE FAMILY FILE
AS... and give it a temp name (or meaningful name - whatever).
Then you can hack this second temp file to your hearts content without
worrying about messing up your "master file".

Glad you have it sorted now. Once you learn these techniques, they
can be applied to so many different situations.
I suggest you make these subsets of your main family file, temporary
files or you'll get into a mess and forget which one(s) you've updated.
