As Gene Y. suggested - you can make a copy of the file as he indicated. Then using the copy, CHANGE the ending of the file from '.fdb' to '.mdb' and it should open/import into Access quite nicely. This was suggested to me when I was attempting to correct some notes. After you save the file

Disregard - I finally figured out what was being posited for source and detail controls. I was attempting to add the number as a prefix to teh source title. e.g. 9100 Smith Genealogy. All I needed to do was to add the master source number as a 'file ID', and any detailed data as MRIN+a number
