Yes, and a lot of responses to them.

For me, they would be _events_ in that persons life. Add event, fill in the
details, then sourcewriter for the sources of those certificates, you would
use church records. It brings up the details for certificates and so on.
You may get many different examples

Using Legacy 7.0.0.55, I want to print the addresses of all the

The addresses have been input to Legacy.
There are two ways to print addresses under Reports Books / Other:

The first time you do this, that is, type Deacon, you will be creating a new

it appears as you want it to.

I've been using Legacy for many years, but recently decided it was time to
go back and rethink sourcing. I had been following a method that had
developed ad hoc, but now I want to get serious about it. I've read some of
the threads on lumping/splitting, and it's led to a couple questions I'm

Hello,
I am helping out a friend merge her many ancestry.com family trees into one
file.
Oh thank you Legacy as I could not even attempt this without such great
software.
There are so many duplicates, I found it easier in the merge process to copy
all the events from one person to another.

Jean,
I am a confirmed lumper but if therere are no common fields then there doesn't
seem to be much point in lumping.
I have no doubt there are times when splitting would not make sense either.

I like the source template capability in Legacy 7. Is it extensible? That

what's the best way to log an enhancement request?
Thanks,

Your choice. And don't worry about the Geo Location Database.
Traditional genealogy would have you show the original location, Rumney Marsh,
then explain in notes how it evolved to Revere, Mass.
Others find it much easier to use the present-day name and then explain the

Hi Jean,
Sadly this is not the answer you want. As far as I am aware it is not
possible to create personalized templates. This is something I would love
to be able to do, but I can imagine it would cause all sorts of problems

Hi Jean,
Legacy have worked so hard to produce the new sourcewriter in V.7 but it
does seem that everyone has a slightly different conception of how to record
sources. Whichever system you use there are pros and cons. It is a
compromise.
I tend to like splitting, for a number of reasons. The
