Hi Brian,
Based on my experience from my early research, I would suggest that
you view the lead at the beginning of each film. There you will find
information that tells you if you are viewing film made by the LDS or
if it is a copy of a film made by some other group, i.e., xxxGenealogy

I have been using Legacy since vs. 4 along with the teaching videos
and monitoring your articles in Legacy News and Legacy home page. I
still learn so much from the dialogs that open in LUG and when you
explain the logic and reason for your choices.
I regret I don't live nearer to when you

I can cheerfully say the same thing for my Samsung 22 inch and my new
Samsung 24 inch monitors. The first monitor was used with Legacy 6

I much prefer the large size screen to using dual monitors.
I spend about 8-10 hours per day on the

Hi Michele,
I went the other way.My first software in 1996 was FTM followed by PAF

Ron,
I appreciate your calm and logical approach for dealing with a new program.
Your words proceeding with caution and in small increments are very wise.
If I remember correctly it took time, studying user manual, viewing CD
tutorials, and practice, practice, practice when I switched from Vs, 5
Thanks for the update. We are grateful for all of your efforts to

My sincere apology. I neglected to tell Michael to send the gedcom to my

I have responded to him off list and FYI will test his gedcom this afternoon to

Michael,
In Vs.6 go to Help Index and enter LDS. The sub-folders included Ordinance
reports. I make focus groups for each of my direct lines and not for all.
I find this helpful in working with other researchers who are interested in
one particular line. The reports will give you work that has
Rob,
It has been several months since I have worked with Ancestry.com and my
Legacy database. At that time when you viewed the census image on the
Ancestry.com Web Site you could save a copy to your own computer. That way
you could have the Ancestry source information as well as an image of the
