Thanks for the reminder to look. I had checked the bottom box to include the
citation, but forgot about the other two boxes immediately below each text box
on the over-ride tab. I agree... why would I choose not to use an over-ride

The "Preposition_English.lst" file is not being copied from Legacy version 7.5
when updating to version 8.x. If you have made changes to it in version 7, you
will want to copy that modified file
The clipboard is specific to the file. It is not like the windows
clipboard which works across applications.

With Legacy backup zips, you don't extract the files yourself
usually, you just go to Legacy File > Restore and choose the location
where the zip file is (not the media zip).
However, you could extract the files yourself I guess and then use

Sorry, that is not possible.
You could copy the person with the event you want to the new database
then use the event clipboard to copy the event from him/her to the
destination person but you cannot copy just the individual instances of
an event between files since that is just a link between the

Go to View > Master Lists
Select Event Definition for your case but other Master Lists will do as well

Well, I am not sure what did it. I did manage to get legacy uninstalled and
reinstalled. But before I reinstalled the program, I changed the default
printer for Windows. I am not sure if changing the default worked or if I
finally got all of the legacy files off my computer before reinsta
