Ian, It seems to me that you are wanting to apply Private to all those who are living but the best way is to apply privacy settings to the reports which might include living people. Those options are available from the various reports and do not require the person to be private. Start any

Is there a workflow that can use(Legacy v9) tools to search for those individuals whose birth date is such that they should be 'Private', and then set them as such? I could wade through the data files and work out how to do it in Access, but I'm wondering if this can be done with minimal effort
