I have a lilypond-book document that contains four short pieces of
music. All of the music uses the same tempo (quarter note = 90). I'd
like to just print the tempo indication once, and not for each piece. I
thought I saw a method to print a quarter note, an equals sign and '90',

I thought that there was a command that could 'detach' a section of
lyrics from the music for a specified time. Does this sound familiar to
anyone? Would this work in this case?

Hello. I'm trying to set a congregational handout for liturgical music.
The appearance I want for one piece of the music is:
Refrain: music and lyrics
Verses: text-only verses 1-3 in three columns
Music and lyrics
Verse 4, text only
Right now, I'm able to achieve this with:

wouldn't be unusual). They'll often combine a medley of two or three tunes. What the

That's a good suggestion, Mats, and one that I keep forgetting about. I'll experiment
with it on my machine and see if it would be less trouble than having my friend
remotely log into my server.
