rrect. I'm not certain of md_map()
because it no longer exists in 2.4. The change looks like it would work
(going from old to new RAID), but I have no idea as I've never set up RAID
before so there could be any number of problems...
Cheers, Andreas

The disk that broke is /dev/sdd. Relevnt lines from the

additional info.

It seems that kernelpatches for newer kernels aren't available. Is
this raidpatch already included in the newer kernels (I need RAID-0
and the autodetection feature (partition ID 'fd')) or do I have to
stay with 2.

Aha! You mean that I can take the 2.2.15pre15 kernel (because it is more
stable) and use the 2.2.14 patch from RedHat. Is this right?
What do you mean with reject in raid1.c? Is this a message which
appears, when I patch the kernel? How can I fix by hand? Will I see, how
it can be fixed?

I could reproduce the kernel panic on a uniprocessor machine with

My /etc/fstab looks like this:
/dev/md0 / ext2
defaults,usrquota,grpquota 1 1
Is there a general problem with quotas on raid-partitions or did i do

I applied the patch to 2.1.132 (it needed some help, but it seems to be
ok).
I wanted to boot from my raid0-device (created with raidtools 0.42pre3).
This used to work fine till 2.1.123.
Till then I get a oops ( which I mentioned on this list a couple of
times). So now I applied the patch to see
