Rob,
Just a question or few:
1) which X Environment are you running?
2) Did you use the ltsp_kmods + ltsp_sound package? If I were to use these,
would I be able to hear sound in Gnome? I thought I read the it only works
in KDE?
3) Is there another way to enable sound w/out using the ltsp_kmo
James,
I don't use DHCP v3, so I'm not sure how to get the option-128/129 to work.
Also, you can't use just bzImage, you also need to have the initrd image.
The bzImage included in the kit is NOT setup to mount root via NFS. we
mount
it in user space, using dhclient to obtain the parameters.
Jim,
System is RedHat 7.0. Using ISC DHCP version 3rc12. We are using the
bzImage from the ltsp_initrd_kit path and sending it to an i810 workstation
using PXE.The workstation setup for PXE is as follows:

James,
Yes, the empty /dev directory is normal. We are now using a feature
called devfs, which is a
virtual /dev filesystem. The device nodes are created automatically by
the kernel.
Are you using the new kernel that we supply ?

We have ran all the install.sh files (core, kernel, x_core, x_fonts, initrd

right? Other /opt/ltsp/i386 paths have files in them. Sorry if th

Hi,
Does anybody know if it's possible to make an IBM 8361-100 Netstation work
as a LTSP client? The major problem is that this baby has a PPC 403-GA
microcontroller inside (it's not a CPU) and the standard linux kernel doesn't
run on it. I tried in ucLinux without luck too. As far as
Hi,
The vmlinuz.rtl8139 file you are trying to tag, was downloaded from the LTSP
site? Or you compiled it yourself? If it was downloaded, then is already
tagged. I think you need to recompile a kernel by yourself, and then use the
mknbi-linux command, but with all the parameters. Check

You need an entry for every subnet oyu use in the /etc/dhcpd.conf
file.
Just copy the on efor your diskless-terminal subnet, change the IP's
and remove the entries for the terminals.
That should work.

hello,
I tried to install the ltsp 2.09 pre2 and everything except local apps
is working.
I have added LOCAL_APPS = Y in the lts.conf file
It mounts the /home directory but what i am getting is an X-terminal
In the rc.local script it is executing the Local Apps section ( I put an

hai friends,
what are the files(.rpm)that i have to download to
implement ltsp in my system which runs (redhat 6.0) as server. Is ltsp packages
necessary to implement dumb terminals.Isn't enough to implement DC using
tftp,romomatic
floppy.
please clarify me immediately.
