If anyone is interested in knowing how I got AGP to work with NVidia
drivers, the answer turned out to be very simple (but took a bit of
digging).
Simply build a kernel with Jim's ltsp_initrd_kit package config files.
During 'make config', enable MTRR support (compiled into the kernel).

What version of LTSP are you using ?
I can't tell from what you've shown, but
if you are using LTSP-3.0, then
the X_MODE_800x600 parameter is no longer used.
What you would want to use instead is:

Hi Juan,
I'd try the lance driver; for an isa-card io will be required.

Jim,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Let me clarify that I am not using an EEPROM, just a floppy.
Your advice seems to have solved part of the problem. The system no longer
continuously reboots. It now seems to hang up with a display like "searching
for server (DHCP)" and then "sleep" every so of
Rob,
I've seen a similar problem with 3c905b-tx-nm cards, but only
when trying to use a bootrom. This may not apply to the problem
that you are having.
The 3c905b has a bug in the firmware that only allows it to see an
8k bootrom. Etherboot has an option, but I don't remember
which option it i

Juan Carlos,
It is the pathname relative to the workstation that you
need to look at. That is, the workstation thinks
that /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_VGA16 doesn't exist, but when
on the server, you need to look for:
/opt/ltsp/i386/usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_VGA16
I hope that helps,

A huge thanks to _all_ who responded with suggestions.
Okay, I just spotted there has been a _very_ recent
release on rom-o-matic so I thought I'd have a go with
the new driver - the cards are Netgear, so I used the
Tulip driver. It WORKS! The drivers I downloaded 2
weeks ago fail on a Netgear 10
Hi all!
I use LTSP in a public computer access room.
Terminals are running IceWM, the only availible applications are
Galeon and StarOffice (OpenOffice).
I needed a way to use floppys on terminals, however letting the
users have a full blown file manager as MToolsFM was not
a very good option. M
Hi Y'all, Can someone help on a very basic problem please.
RH7.2 Server, provides dhcp OK, but client reports "Loading kernel",
then sleeps.
tcpdump on Server reports "udp port tftp unreachable (DF) [tos 0xc0]".
I have built several systems before, but cannot find the cause of this.
TIA

Dear all,
i forward the following mail to ltsp and beowulf as I use these concepts and
Mosix group seems to be in a very depressed mood.
The problem I encounter occurs before Mosix even starts. There is some new
kind of stuff with kernel 2.4.xx that does not accept some kinds of fragments.
It is
