I have removed /var/lib/tf.../lts.conf-file and "quiet splash".
I got lots of [OK] -messages. last one:
Starting LTSP Client..
While I'm waiting to get the hardware together I'm trying to learn as
much as possible. Hopefully that will save me some time and
headaches.
So, I have some very basic questions.
I plan on using Edubuntu Gutsy. I've read most if not all of the
Edubuntu docs on LTSP. It's my understanding that
Came across a message when trying to log on a thin client. When I enter
the user name and password, I get a message back stating:
"This workstation is not authorized to log onto this server"
What's causing this error message and what do I do to fix it?

Ran into a snag with the USE_XFS setting in the lts.conf file. I know a
lot of things have changed from Feisty to Gusty so maybe I'm doing
something wrong. XFS support worked in Feisty but I can't get X to
start on the thin client when I have this setting in my lts.conf file
when using Gusty.

For LTSP 4.2 I have these lines in lts.conf:
[Default]
SERVER = 192.168.1.100
XSERVER= auto
X_MOUSE_PROTOCOL = "PS/2"
X_MOUSE_DEVICE = "/dev/psaux"

1. I run ltsp-build-client.
2. I remove "quiet splash"
Jammin goes online.

We are looking to switch our LTPS 4.1 setup to Ubuntu. I see from
searching the list that a lot of work has gone into LTSP5 with Gusty
so we will likely use that.
I am sorry if I missed this in the docs I looked at, but I can't tell
if we use Ubuntu Server edition or Ubuntu Desktop edition. Ca
