Would someone who knows kindly list the symlinks LTSP uses so that I can
check where an automated install possibly went wrong.
Thanks.

What might cause a fatal X server error that says "cannot
open /var/log/XFree86.0.log"?
I´m getting this error when starting up an X Terminal. I´ve installed
LTSP - this is my second LTSP installation but it is the first time that
I´ve encountered this particular error.
BTW the X Terminal boo

Recall I first ran a ltsp_initialize script in which I modified the Red Hat
bits to accommodate Gentoo. I got as far as the gray screen with X cursor.
Then I installed David Snopek's unofficial Gentoo-based ebuild on top and
XFree86 reported no devices detected and no screens.

Chuck,
There is no XF86Config-4 present in my test system;
/opt/ltsp/i386/XF86Config is the link to /tmpXF86Config.
As mentioned in my reply to John, I've been testing in runlevel 3. The error
"no devices detected" is output to the client screen. Errors are not being
logged to /var/log/XFree86.0.
orce LTSP to use that instead of

Can anyone indicate where to go for instructions on getting X configured
properly? I've got ltsp up and running except for the graphical component.
Starting the X server returns "(EE) No devices detected. Fatal server error:
no screens found."
My hunch is that I need to point ltsp to the server's
