Hi, I have a bunch of pre-historic word docs that I want to convert
to LyX. I've gathered that the best way to do this is by converting
rtf to latex. (If anyone has a better suggestion I'm interested.)

Why I would need a converter when pdflatex can use unconverted pdfs?
There is also no converter listed for PDF - PNG that I could remove.
This is supposed to work - just insert-graphics and give
the filename of your pdf. view-pdflatex or export-pdflatex
should not convert it in any way!

customization of LaTeX and how to do all that in LyX. I like the idea
of users helping other users. But I find it quite uncomfortable to
