I just installed aspell German to use it with LyX. In general the spell
checking works quite well, but some things doesn't work as smoothly as with
Microsoft Word 2003: for example compound words. In German you cannot
compound arbitrary words to new words. For example

with the installer for the two Norwegian spellcheckers (Bokmål, Nynorsk) for
Windows.
The installer fails when trying to install. (Failing the CRC
check presumably)

I'm trying to add a document class to my mac LyX 1.5.3 install.
However, I'm a bit puzzled as to how to make it show up.
The package is "exam.cls". I have it in my LyX app folder and in the /
sw/... folder as well. Yet, "exam" does not show up when I check in
the Settings->Document
