It Works!
Thanks so much Scott
When this option is selected, LyX automatically adds:
\usepackage{color}
before babel is loaded.
If a multilingual Italian/Spanish document is involved (Spanish being
the main language), this causes the document to fail to compile (with an
updated MiKTeX distribution), such as the follo
(especially when working with several computers).
Thanks a lot for LyX. It's just great! The equation editor is amazing.

I use the wrapped area so i can put at the end of my thesis a figure list too.
Some other people told me to use OpenOffice, but i beleve in lyx! ...am i

If you need everythingmy document, some other details, anything, ask! I

Some advices will be appreciated...

Thanks for your responses. Unfortunately I am not that proficient in
using gcc or debugging tools in Linux yet...but I will try to do so.
Apparently however, J.M. knows about the problem, so I will let him
solve it and wait until 1.3.4 in the near future.

open Lyx again and try to open the file, and it wouldn't. Apparently
its been corrupted somehow. Fortunately Lyx generates backups so no
problem in retrieving my work.
Has anybody have had the same problem? Is this a bug? So far, I have
decided to go back to 1.3.2.
Alberto
Yep...that is exactly what I meant. As Andre pointed out, the operation of
couting words, from a latex point of view, is not easy, but I think this
feature is something many people have to do when writting articles, theses
or other documents.

Hi!
Does anybody knows how to count words in Lyx 1.3.2? I have not found this option,
though it might be a good add-on, and probably not very difficult to implement...I
hope.

This behaviour is completely reproductible.

Please tell me if you need anything, or want to try something.

Don't know if it's what you want, but I usually do this:
1. simply a/b in math mode;
2. 90^\circ in math mode.
Hope this helps.

Does anybody know how to edit ancient manuscripts in LyX?
I mean, the top half of the page should contain the main
text, the other half should contain footnotes. Lines in
the main text should be numbered every 5th (not all lines,
the standard edition works in that funny way). But footnotes
should
entire_ formula (both in display and inline
mode) and select the desired color.
I tried again with a selection inside a formula but it doesn't work.

Well, it seems strange, because I've just tried to obtain a green formula
in display math mode using just this technique, and it works perfectly.
I mean, in gv the text is black while the formula is displayed in green.
I'm using Lyx 1.1.4fix3.

SOrry to ask such a stupid thing but how can I create a form document

It sounds strange, but maybe, if all else fails, you could try the plain
LaTeX code {\rm \"u} in the formula. Put it inside and mark it with the
TeX button. It should work.
It should be perfectly equivalent to what told in the previous messag
