Hi Josh,
Unfortunately, that won't work. I think I see where you are coming from with
this, since the site won't let you download the plugin unless you are running
firefox. Yes, this feature would enable you to download it, but safari wouldn't
have a clue what to do with it. It wouldn't be able

Hi Gordon,
Now I remember this. In voiceover utility, select the verbosity category and
then select the announcements tab. Uncheck the checkbox for "Speak header when
navigating across a table row. Now dealing with the list of books is musch
easier. Find the column with the names of your books,

This situation is a little weird. Notification center actually does support
third party apps, but only apps on the Mac App Store. Apple's Idea is to
reserve certain OS X features as exclusive to the App Store, to try to convince
developers to use it. As another example, only App Store apps can u
Hi.
I'm not sure what the problem is with Browl and DropBox, but I haven't been
getting notifications for dropbox since growl 1.3 came out in the Mac App
Store. Other notifications work, just not DropBox. I haven't upgraded to
Mountain Lion yet and can't speak about that specifically, but maybe
Hi esther,
I just tried iKeyboard, and I'm very impressed. Temporarily turning off VO on
the mac allowed me to use iOS voiceover just as I would with any other
bluetooth keyboard. Most of the VO commands work. The only exception I have
found is one I would have expected. If I remember correctly

Hi Robert,
Thanks for the tip, but that is not working for me here. I recently updated to
KeySoft 9.2. I wonder if they changed something.
Thanks anyway.

Hello,
I enjoyed this podcast, and decided to try a second time to use my iPhone with
my BrailleNote Apex as a display. I was quickly reminded about a limitation of
the apex which makes it less than ideal for use with iOS. The letter h with the

Now that I think about it, I should slightly modify what I previously wrote. I

Hi.
If you triple-click the home button as your very first action before
completing the initial setup process, Voiceover will come up right away. I did
this with my new iPhone 4S last week. What Esther is saying is something I've
heard from a few other people. If someone at the store does the
If you want to read line by line in EPub books, you can try a text editor on
the Mac App Store called itext express. It can open these files. I used that
before I knew about digital editions or stanza.
Hope this helps.

One thing I can say about ooTunes though is that the developer is very

Hi all,
I didn't really like either of the ideas that have been mentioned for
preventing safari from reopening windows from the last session, so I went
looking for something else. I didn't want to disable the feature system-wide,

Hi Paul,
The Voiceover Settings activity is meant to be your default activity for

Voiceover utility itself are saved to the voiceover settings activity. In other

Hi Linda,
I'm experiencing the problem of text not being read while typing, and the issue
of being notified of supposed spelling errors while reading an email.
Thankfully, I'm not having to interact with every page that is loaded. I'll be
emailing Apple about my two issues soon, and I'd suggest
Hi lynne,
I'm glad to hear this about Nisus writer pro. I never did purchase Pages, I
kept thinking that an update had to be coming soon and I wanted to wait for
that. I'm fairly confident now that Apple will update it to Take advantage of
the autosave and full screen features of Lion. Hopefull
