Well, I'll be, I actually got it to work. You do need to Press down on the
trackpad - I didn't know it was pressure sensative.
I did uncheck the tap to click checkbox in trackpad SysPref's. Now, I
don't suppose you can tell us what the secondary click setting in system
preferences/trackpad is

I've made a backup with SuperDuper, and then tried to restart from that
clone by holding down the option key while restarting. I got to some kind of
selection screen which I assume was the screen for selecting a bootable
volume. I realize that VO was not functional at this screen and remembered
from there.

And there is one other thing on the tip of the brain that it might be but
am not remembering it at the moment. But caps lock and sticky keys are
the first two I would check.

solution to use Super Duper, I would personally advise you to forget
about Tie machine, and just make sure you have a regular strategic backup

Last night, I went to bed leaving the iMac in a powered on state. I awoke
to hear the sound of the iMac powering on, as if someone had just pressed

I'm learning to use Mac OSX Lion with VO on my week old iMac. I have a free
upgrade to ML coming to me, but I'm a little concerned about upgrading. I
seem to hear some reports of glicheyness with ML, but more than that I'm
concerned that certain programs don't work the same with ML, if at all.
I downloaded CheckbookPro from splasm.com via Safari and Safari gave no
confirmation of the download, but I found it both on the desktop and in the
downloads folder as a .dmg file. I don't know how to install Mac software,
so I just VO spacebar'd on the desktop item and got a warning about
under Users and Groups in system preferences, (and elsewhere) many setting
fields are dimmed and there is a button and a check box towards the end that
says click the lock to make changes. Clicking (VO-space) on either the button
or the checkbox brings up another window with a name and password
