Following my earlier message, I went ahead and installed Windows on the Mac
this morning and got JAWS installed and activated. This was done as a
virtual machine.
While there are work arounds for the keyboard which I can carry out, what I
cannot live with is the occasional dropout in audio.

I have tinkered with the amount of memory allocated to the VM and have found
that, for me, 4 GB works well. I have dedicated one processor core. This is on
a Macbook Air mid-2013 with 8 GB of total memory.

The command to copy the last phrase to clipboard is VO Shift C.
This will work fine with regard to copying the text as it is presented in the
article. The directions below will also accomplish it.

that I could also use an external mic with this MacBook Air, plugging it
through the headphones jack?
I just made a recording using a Sennheiser head set with compatible mic, and
that worked ok

The trackpad commander needs to be off. and you just do a 2 finger swipe from
right to left across the track pad. I never got the hang of the jester so I set
up a key board short cut in system prefs. and I just bring it up with control
shift n.

hi all when i remove items from my trash do i automatically get the free
space back to use on
This is why I like using Clean my Mac II to delete the trash, as I think it
deletes everything including those files.

There's iBoostup free version, but it's certainly not as good. It does what you
want, cleans your system but Clean my Mac does a much better job of it.
