Hello Chris,
The general answer to this question would have to be no. One must have sighted
assistance, at least, at first.
I purchased my Apple TV about 6 days ago here in California.
The first thing I noticed is that, out of the box, VoiceOver was not available
on the device until I
Hi Mark and others!
It looks like it depends on when and where you get Apple tv!
From what I've red on another list latest versions will talk out of the box
and if I remember correctly there is a command you can do with the remote
I'll go and see if I can find the thread to find out

If you go to the source list and switch to another source, like Everyone, or
another contact (BurningHawk1969, for example) the HTML area will change.
Switching the source list selection back to the contact with whom you're having
the conversation *MUST* refresh the HTML area, then. Worth a
Hi Listers,
I am looking for a Go to a specific coordinate command in VoiceOver?

Is there a specific command in VoiceOver to tell the cursors to go to
say 9 inches over and 5 inches down?
I haven't found it in VoiceOver?
I know VoiceOver will announce the position by hitting mouse
Yeah Like I said I let skype know but this drives me absolutely nuts! I tried
to report the bug to skype but i don't think screen shots helped as they looked

with out voice over? or is a vo issue alone?
On Dec 14,
Maybe, but I usually close my conversation windows. I don't want to keep a
dummy window open just to work around this bug.
I will if I have to though.

Hi,
I heard about a gift pack that I thought some of you might be interested in.
It includes 6 apps for $60. To buy the 6 apps at their regular prices would be
something like $270. Here are the 6 apps:
Delicious Library
Acorn

Sous Chef
Radio Shift
Sound Studio

Hi List.
I'm having problems with my audio jack on my MB pro 13inch. There's no audio
output on it but it only happens when I'm using Windows 7 with bootcamp.
Audio on the on board speakers is fine but nothing comes out of my
headphones when I plug them in when using Windows.
I've tried
Bootcamp is not being updated when there is the video driver from Win-eyes or
JAWS installed. You should remove them, install the update, and reinstall the
display driver.
2. The sound is a driver issue, that may likely be corrected by bootcamp
update. Apple shipped faulty device driver,
I have just noticed a very piculiar new behavior with Web kit and Audible.
When I went to rout the mouse to the word sample on a book, the mouse refused
to rout where I wanted it to go. With Safari, on the other hand, it did.
Consequently, It seems no longer possible to play Audible samples
Howdy Folks,
Using voice over, I'm trying to bring up a terminal, which is in the
applications folder. So far, I'm failing to figure out how to
navigate into and around the Applications folder.
Can someone let me know how to go about this?
Here's what I've tried so far...
VO + d to go to the
Actuallly, you are going about it the wrong way. the by far faster way is to
just press command+space to open the spotlight search and type term without
the quotes. The first hit will be the terminal app. Press return on this and
you'll be right in.
For future reference, if you really want

Actually, once you get used to it, it works much better than the windows screen
readers. It moves by item rather than by line, I find surfing the web on the
mac to be a very enjoyable experience.

Hey Chuck,
No, there's currently no way to enter that coordinate information. The only
thing that can be done is moving the mouse pointer and constantly querying
VoiceOver. It's a feature I requested long ago. In fact, I had requested the
feature that allowed one to query the position relative

I could use some help on this project.

Interesting,
I've never been able to get samples to play on the audible site with webkit or
safari. Do you mind giving step by step instructions on how you accomplish
this?

In the archives I believe, but, let me check quick and see if I saved them.
Ah yes, I did save them. Here they are.
1. Find the book from which you wish to play a sample.
2. Open that book's page.
3. Find where it says sample on the page.
4. Now, manually rout the mouse pointer to the
Hi Ricardo,
What Ray refers to are my posts about using Mouse Keys to move the
cursor. Basically, VoiceOver can't navigate to the locations where
you click to play the samples, because the Flash doesn't present an
anchor point for VoiceOver to move to. So we use another
accessibility trick,
Hi. The gift pack still may be good deal if you already are a user of sound
studio. The version of sound studio you get in the gift pack is version 4.
Currently that is the only way to get version 4. When the sale is over, sound
studio will sell for $79, or $30 to upgrade from version 3.
