I totally agree with you. The Mac just doesn't quite cut it where serious
productivity is concerned. Though in my case I'm quite happy to run two
computers as my windows 7 machine is all set up with what I need for my
medical transcription studies.

It all depends on what you need and what you are willing to learn. I have a
friend who does medical transcription on the mac full time. And when I ran

Hi all,
I heard the recent Applevis podcast about installing Windows on a Bootcamp
partition using a USB sound card, and while that's nice, I have an older
version of Bootcamp it seems, as the bootcamp assistant on his Mac sounded
different than mine does.
I wonder if there is a way to burn the
I don't agree the mac can't get the job done because it can. Its just
nice to have the best of both worlds and the mac with Vmware Fusion or
Bootcamp can do this very well. But if like me you have a Windows
machine then why not use it while it lasts.

Nice. Last I played with this was on OSX 10.8 and it failed horribly.
That seems to have been fixed in 10.9 at some point. Yay kaizen.

Hi all,
Are there any resources, links, or books to walk me through the ins and outs,
risks, and benefits to getting Windows on my Mac? I know I can ask some
questions here but I fear I have way too many. I don't know where to start. I
don't even know where to buy windows or which version to

Hi al.
I was wondering if someone could help me. I'm trying to search for artists,
albums and songs in iTunes using both the sources table and without. Once I
find the artist or album I'm looking for, how do I actually play it?

Bootcamp versus VMWare Fusion is an old debate, and many, many articles exist
online that can tell you the benefits of each far better than I can. I won't go
into the details here, then.

Also, eurpod.net/vmware has a great selection of abandonware which is
all legal as far as I know. The one I use is the windows xp vm, and with
the sound buffer configured, I truly feel like I'm using windows on a
native desktop with a good ammount of ram. Its just that snappy.

Hi,
Is there a way to add more disk space to bootcamp? or do I have to
delete it and start over?
And if I delete the BootCamp partition, will the free space be
automatically put back on the main partition?
Thanks,

Please don't miss understand me, I love the Mac, I have one but I believe
