Normally, yes, I’d agree. The only reason I don’t agree with you in this one case is, I think it’s needing to somehow grab API’s from both Voiceover and from, most likely, Apple Script. It can’t do that though being those are different components than what are built into the app to start with.

That can be done in Disk Utility, but yeah, if you have a lot of data on the drive, then you’d definitely not want to go that avenue… especially not if you plan to use the drive both on Windows, and also on the mac. Sounds like at this point, you’re unfortunately kind of in a catch 22 situation
