seeing is most likely due to the remote OCR. That is to say, the imgae being
uploaded to the cloud (I really hate that term) for OCR. So you have to have
an active Internet connection for it to work.

That is an excellent question. I could be off a bit but, isn't this about 80%
cheaper then the next access tech OCR solution for the Mac? IDK. For me at
least, money won't be the major issue if I buy this or not. I think this price
range allows most to just go by its performance
I suppose that all depends on your own personal definition of fast, but I can
tell you that my Canoscan 8800F works very well. It scans relatively fast, in
my humble opinion. :-)

I'd say $150 or so at the absolute highest. Anything much higher than that
seems prohibitive to me. Most folks have to work a long time with
significant effort to put away $300 after taxes and costs for food,
clothing, and shelter.

Actually, the text of the scan is presented in an html content format, just as
it might be presented in Safari. Therefore, it does appear to display tables
okay, as far as I can tell for now. I need to find a bill or something around
here I can scan and read just to verify that, but
