What's the consensus on Nisus Writer? If I needed a step up from TextEdit—and I
admit that I'm not really clear on why I would—then would Nisus Writer Pro be a
worthwhile investment?

personally better out of the word processors I've tried (Pages, iText
Express). I like how it just opens to a new document and how it can be
used to open, read and export to PDF. It is expensive though so shop

shift+option + . and use it the normal way. I prefer to use command+shift+comma
and when you have different options you can learn by using command+option+l and
ignor using command+option+i you can also see a list

Is it possible to read the contents of tables in Nisus Writer Pro? Pages has a
menu item Convert table to text which makes tables readable. So if Nisus
Writer doesn't have something like this, then Pages is a much better option.

I have not used footnotes. Nisus has made some great ways to navigate through
the headings you have set, it is really easy to navigate in my opinion. To make
entries to a table of content is very easy, and can be done in about 2 minutes,
if you know what to search for.

It is a wordprocessor. It was the first wordprocessor I bought for the mac, and
the wordprocessor that I like best. In my opinion most functions are easy to
use.
Another thing is that nisus writer pro can handle really many formats, that I
often have difficulties with e.g. in pages.

Has anybody had experience with this product and VO? Mac updates has it as a
promotion for 50% off today. I wondered how it was compared with Pages,
especially since there are issues with not being able to read tables in Pages.

I really like nisus writer pro. It is a great program, that reads a lot of
formats, it is maybe a little slow, but it is great with VoiceOver. I can
recommend the program.

lists. I have also found out that there are different
writer pro but just a quick question.
i know that VO works with headings in webpages with VO H but can VO
access headings with that command in nisus? i've tried that command in
pages and text edit and had no luck.
I have just tried this in Nisus Writer Pro, and it does not work.
