I too wonder how you fool Vmware 6 into thinking it can work with Yosemite,
ever since the first betas, i’ve got the error that Vmware 6 can not work on
Yosemite but if someone has a workaround for this i’d be a very happy camper.

Restarting a computer will fix a lot of strange issues. I upgraded a
few days ago as well, but I reformatted my drive and installed from
scratch. I decided not to reinstall Fusion, I no longer have any need
