I have Lion on a Mini. I thought that ctrl-right, in text, would
move me around, but it (and other odd keystrokes that I don't
remember at the moment) just keep bringing up the dashboard. I
can't move around the dashboard because it just jumps into the
calculator, the first

You might go in to keyboard under system preferences, and disable some of the
keyboard shortcuts in there. There was one that was driving me nuts, I don't
know if I had accidentally set it or if it was a default setting, the dash key
was set to show and hide the doc. Got rid of that as well as

If I'm not mistaken, control-left_arrow brings up Dashboard. I also sometimes
have a hard time getting out of it. The 2 finger scrub gesture will sometimes
work. F12 seems to bring up Dashboard as well, and hitting that again will
close it. None of it seems consistent though. :)
