I've never had a problem with any of the GIS DataDepot's .e00 files, ArcLink always translates them just fine. The only stipulation I've found is that if you download a boundary file called "ponet.e00," you *can't* rename the file, otherwise ArcLink won't translate it. I have no idea why this is,

Great idea. Needs a couple of steps though. First is the creation of the needed reference gird and color numberization. Next you need a "clumping" tool to define areas of adjacent color. Lastly you need a raster to vector conversion if raster while faster is not as corrector MidNight Mapp
