Sounds like they are referring to a Geoset. Geosets are used by MapX in much the same way workspaces are used by MapInfo Professional. In Pro's Tool Manager, you can load the MapInfo MapX Geoset Utility. This lets you create a geoset file based on the layers and settings of a MapInfo map window.
