The drip method on a 603 pump will require the normal 24 BTDC -- the RIV uses a hall effect pickup, and the bump is in the correct place at 15 ATDC due design constraints. peter

If this is the case, replacement of the oil filter housing will fix it. The valve seat can score, as well, dropping idle pressure drastically. Usually doesn't cause trouble with higher rpm oil pressure, though. Peter

You can also get very close by just eyeballing the Vee-ridge on the IP governor through the threaded port with a flashlight and small mirror. Set your crankshaft to the desired position, then loosen the pump and turn the adjuster bolt until the Vee-ridge is perfectly centered in the threaded port

I tested the gauge and sender tonight. The gauge goes right to 3 when disconnected, and back to 0 when grounded, so it is fine. I removed the sender and made a fixture that allowed me to pressure test it. At 0 bar, it read about 7.3 ohms. At 15 PSI (around 1 bar) I got around 62 ohms. At 3
