If the tab is broken you just pull the door panel off, and get a screw
with a big washer and screw it into where the tab broke off from the
backside of the panel, works fine.

Hello,
I've removed the front brake rotors from my 1990 300SE (126) with the
hubs/bearings intact. I got the allen bolts out but haven't been able to
separate the rotors from the center hubs. I wonder if I could get some advice
on a couple of things.

dirvers side of the intake manifold!

The 79 240D project car is nearing road worthiness again (and not a moment
too soon the 87 300TD has had numerous pending jobs postponed) thanks in
no small part to the members of this list. After the caliper rebuild and
the rear hub helicoil jobs, the only thing still on the list is a

No ortho here, but I did grab a (ratty) set of heated seats (and
all accouterments) from a 500 SEL, the idea was to use its bits
to put heated seats in our two SL's.

Yep - the lines always seem to get air in them even though only one
corner was worked on.. and it works best to start at the corner the
farthest from the MC and work your way closer.

The diagram shows only nuts but doen't say how many. The Station Wagon
has a bar held in place by the nuts but not the sedan.

Heat the rotor face at the bolt holes with a torch (NOT the hub,
please). Rotor will pop off when it heats up.
Clean the face of the hub with a wire brush and apply antiseize between
new rotor and hub going back on.
