You can try a seals and clutches rebuild, but that's not usually all that's
wrong in a Benz tranny at that mileage. It's likely original, hence will have
worn out bands, badly worn clutch drums, worn out of tolerance thrust washers

Are we talking about a delay when shifting from Park to Reverse? Or a
delay when shifting from Drive to Reverse?
