There was no factory 240D Turbo. So it's either an engine change to a 617.95
engine or an add on. The former is OK, I guess, if you want to load the

increased considerably under boost. That's why the turbo 917s spray oil on
the underside of the pistons and the NA engines do not. Cooling.

I'm not convinced that the Banks turbo is responsible for the engine
throwing a rod- it was more likely oil pump failure or something. The
rod threw when the engine was running at low rpm and low boost, going
slightly downhill. Also, I think adding a turbo to a diesel does little
to increase pe

I used to have a 6.2 diesel Suburban with a banks turbo kit. It was
crazy fast, but the engine suddenly threw a rod for no reason after a
few years. I don't know if this was related to the turbo kit or not.
The difference from a non-turbo 6.2 was incredible. It literally felt
like it had twice

quality and reliability depends on how well the job was done, something
nobody can tell without inspecting the vehicle themselves- but it's
unlikely to be as good or reliable as a factory turbocharged vehicle.

Wasn't that Banks guy working on monster diesels for hot rod cars? I
seem to recall seeing like an old Chebbie with some 700hp or such thing
in it. That would be cool. I think he has various tuning points with
his stuff, power, torque, economy, etc. It might not comply with all
the air qual
