blown head gasket and intrusion of combustion gasses into the cooling
system... cooling system holds about 16 psi... compression gases make
140 +- at 400 F, so compression blows into coolant and makes it hot,
quickly.

Got the Karmann Ghia running better today. The JC Whitney air flow meter that I
bought to balance the carbs on an M180 finally was useful again. The engine has
a dual Weber ICT setup. Air flow was not quite balanced between the two carbs
and the mixture seemed off also. Got it idling smoothly an

Yes sir. In the driveway. Visible from the street. I fully accept
responsibility for not completing airing up the tires, and getting plates on it
sooner.
That said, I have two exceedingly ugly, but running and plated 123's that are
out of sight, out of mind.
