a Mercedes. The same person that designed your W124, oversaw the design

missing spring on Saturday. Idles smoother now, so it must have had
a bad delivery valve seal. 6 new GPs, and viton orings in the IP. I

All the 99.5 and later TDIs (Golf, Jetta, Beetle are all on the same
platform) have this issue with single-use
Anybody here got any experience with a Jetta TDI?
I went to look at a '98 today, 177,xxx miles. Its got a bunch of little issues
but seems fundamentally sound. The only thing I wondered about is a bit of
turbo whine when you really get into it. I didn't spend enough time looking at
the intake

Looks like a new replacement is $600+, used more like $300.
The car was advertised at $3500, I got him down to $3000. I figure all the
other issues its got, together,

Some other poor sucker will buy it. And no, I doubt if it will make a
difference unless you can beat him down to maybe $2500.

Yeeesh, they definitely aren't supposed to sound like that. My ex has a
2000 New Bug TDI
The 1998 is a lot more tinny than the 2000. Water pump is aux belt driven
on the '98 but timing belt driven on the '00. Rotary pump, electronically
controlled. Rear drum brakes. All in all I liked the 2000 better than the
1998. Drove each for a few years.

The one Curt was talking about seemed to be a VW price, but well into W210
territory by the time all the known and unknown
