Hyundai has one that's better looking than most. GM dropped the price of the Bolt this year. I'd consider it a real contender. Might see if I can go try one. Curt Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android On Wed, Oct 12, 2022 at 1:08 PM, Andrew Strasfogel via Mercedes wrote: Now that I have an EV

There is a guy at work with an EV motorcycle. I asked him what range he gets, he said 50 - 100 miles depending on how he rides. Then he added, "most days closer to 50." I believe it's this one but not certain. https://www.zeromotorcycles.com/model/zero-dsrx On Wed, Oct 12, 2022, at 11:01,

What? You've never ridden a motorcycle on the interstate? You've missed quite the thrill (if you survive it) :) I saw an Aptera driving north on I-35 in south OKC several years ago - a really cool looking car. On Wed, Oct 12, 2022 at 10:20 AM dan penoff.com via Mercedes < mercedes@okiebenz.com>

That’s pretty cool, although it’s still a motorcycle. It will be interesting to see how it fares in crash tests. I could see it for driving around town, though. Not sure I would want to get out on the interstate in it. -D > On Oct 12, 2022, at 10:57 AM, mitch--- via Mercedes > wrote: > > On

An EV in Flagstaff would make perfect sense. Plenty of sunlight for charging, and the longest possible trip from one side of town to another being maybe 15 miles, if that. Now if you want to go anywhere else an ICE vehicle would be required, as there’s nothing in the way of civilization in a

LA is an excellent example of where EVs make sense. Most people never go outside of a 5 mile circle anyway so limited range makes no difference. Unfortunately California had a rectal/cranial inversion when it comes to electricity production so EVs are going to exacerbate an existing problem.

You just use a 3/4 ton truck and call it a 1/2 ton. I have doubts about them off-road, that weight has to make them less capable. In the end most pickup trucks are just pavement queens rarely used to haul anything more exciting than the garbage. For the majority of owners an EV will be fine.

I don't know who "they" are and I have know idea what they want, but here in LA an electric car already makes a lot of sense for a lot of people. If the prices ever come down, they will be the best option for maybe 70% of vehicles on our roads. Just from a cost of ownership and convenience

I watched a towing shootout between the F150 and Hummer EV's. They made the point that the F150 had a battery that held the energy equivalent of about 4 gallons of gasoline, which goes a long way towards explaining why these vehicles do so abysmally in these tests. That 4 gallons can be had for
