I have found the bolts to be larger on the audi than the benz. Fatter
actually, but maybe the holes are the same in the wheel, just a step up
from the 17mm on the benz. 19mm?

A couple of my bikes are each worth more than my last car purchase. Of
course their upkeep is somewhat lower than that of the ca

You could make the same argument against every DIY project. It's all
about the love, man. If I really wanted to save money, I'd ride a
bike.
Down here in the disposable ranks of the peon-class, $1000 buys a lot
of brewskies, and after the afore-mentioned love, it's all about the
brewskies...or a

Dude,
Let me know how much time and money you get into cobbling up some used
Audi rims with the proper lugs and appropriate centers. Then mount up
some new tires and have them balanced. I have always been the epitome
of frugal, but as I grow wiser and older I see where I have been
wasting time and

Tire Rack has nice imitation AMG wheels, too. They are cast, not
forged, but I've never heard any complaints about them. There's a
nifty "virtual makeover" feature on their site where you can select
your car model and color and then see how the wheels will look on it,
too. Not sure if they have
For around $1000. you can get new wheels and tires mounted and
balanced with lugs and centercaps delivered to your door, from Tire
Rack. It is hard to justify screwing around with making used stuff fit
and chasing after parts and schleping them off to get tires mounted.

Casey,
5 bolt Audi wheels have the same bolt size and pattern but the
center mounting hole is slightly different (I can't remember
whether it's larger or smaller...). As a result the wheels will
not be hubcentric (ie either they won't fit or they won't be
centered on the hub, which will lead t
Has anyone successfully adapted wheels from another (preferably
German) car make into the MB realm? I'm fantasizing about upgrading
my 124 to 16" rims, but I'm not too smitten by the prices or choices
out there. These Audi units seem to be nifty looking and run the same
