calls. There was one very similar one to this.

them each purrs loudly in unison with the other. The stouter cat purrs in a
deep bass "voice" and the other in a baritone punctuated with
chirping/squeaking sounds. Talk about therapy...

Yep, I understand - the cat usually telegraphs its intentions. But I
just prefer not to cater to my pet's whims under threat of attack.
I know that often my dogs don't want my petting, or don't like the
silly hassling I may be giving them, but they just put up with it. I
