The few local PnPs we have are pretty worthless when it comes to MBs,
unfortunately.
Bumper covers come off easily but have a lot of bolts. Door handles are a piece
of cake. You should be able to pop one off in snout 30 seconds. Do you need me
to explain the process?

Have you checked local PnP? No shipping there ;-) I know there's 1 or
2 140s at our local recycle center but if the bumpers are connected as
tightly as the door handle it's probably more than I could do in a
grassy/muddy field. ;-)There's always Potomac - although they

I don't think they're doing that here, although if you use eBay for the
shipping the rates are more than what you would pay if you shipped it yourself.
I had some incunabula (very early book pages prior to the introduction of
printing presses) that I put up for sale on eBay earlier this year.
eBay in general is a ripoff these days.

Hi Dan,
you didn't mention what year your S420 is - but I looked at Rockauto.com
and they have them for a 96 w/o Parktronic. They also offer several

I don't know how this applies to the 140 bumper cover situation, but I can

I found an ebay auction from CARID (I think) for $240 or best offer with free
shipping and the part is in Tampa.
I made an offer of $175 and I would pick it up locally. We'll see if they go
for it. They want $130 with like $150 shipping (truck) on their web site.

I tried that once fo a large item in nearby Silver Spring the seller wanted
$90 to ship. He said sure, pick it up but I will still have to charge
you $90 for convenience.

That's no doubt due to the shipping really costing them far less and the
difference going towards the profit margin.
This seems to be the standard ruse with eBay and other sellers who advertise
suspiciously low prices then charge obscene amounts for shipping.
No response yet. I suspect this is

Uh, right. That would be one HECK of a 3D printer.
Yeah, I considered the plugs, but it really messes with the lines of the car.
I'm willing to wait to find the right one if necessary, it's just that the
grille on the bottom is busted up and look like crap.

They want more for a used cover than I can buy a new one for, not to mention
the closest one was over 400 miles away. Appreciate the link, though.
