I meant to say Busch's first diesel, though I've never had it confirmed.

From the pic I saw of Busch's first (the first
commercial diesel engine in America), it was also a
large one cylinder...could be wrong. I would be
totally schocked if it were 5 cylinder...have a bio on
Diesel...will check when I go home.
