The neighbors have CCR, but my house was not part of that build
out. I park Gump up on ramps and stands for weeks and there ain't
nuthin' they can do about it. Now she is in the shop and the oily
spot is really lonely.

Well, it looks like luck is going my way although I wasn't able to look at
the W115 Diesels last night!! The guy wouldn't have been home when I got
there. However, I've set up an appointment to look at them tomorrow at
3:00. If I get out there before he gets home from his meeting, he told me

Diesels, I've written about this car a time or two along with the '72 220D
in which I've been interested. I just got off the phone with the owner. He
was originally asking $650 for the '72 220D and $750 for the '74 240D.
someone offered him $500

Repeat after me.
There is no such thing as a cheap Mercedes..
Well, I should have said cheap to acquire. Any older Mercedes will cost
$4-5K either up front for a well maintained one or over time for a beater to
get things up to par.
Good point.

Why do you have to be on the other side of the country with your good
deals??? I just spoke to a lady about buying a 76 240D with 60K
original miles and manual trannySupposed to go pick it up on
Tuesday. It runs great but is VERY rusty.

Around here, good deals are hard to find on Diesel Mercedes' with one
exception. The owner doesn't know nuttin' about what he's got which would
be the case with these. I wish I had a space to park both cars

Go for it Kevin-sort out the spare parts later.
The only problem is that my wife and I are living in an apartment with no
place to park vehicles! The Dodge pickup is hogging the tandem space with
only enough room for a Smart behind it! I think that I'm going to switch

I wasn't able to get a ride out to look at the W115's, darnit! If they're
still there tomorrow, I'll be going out there.
