If engines are still similar to the V6 in my '04 Frontier, the oil capacity is
only a bit over 3 quarts. Not a lot iof safety buffer if you get low.

People have been trained to ignore the appearance of impending doom since
the fact-checkers keep telling us that "everything is awesome".

No, after I changed solenoids and fluid it was sorta OK but still inop.
She ended up getting a bit for it from a shop she took it to, and bought
a Honda Fit

Your friend's car just had a fried solenoid, didn't it?
I wonder how many are worn out through bad design, hard driving or lack
of maintenance vs how many have a MBZ style electrica

Possibly that too. Don’t most or all CVTs generally fail early.

I thought they were known for premature CVT failure.
I have a sister in law who is on their second Murano. Although I don’t know
what year their first one was, I do know they put several hundred thousand
miles on it without issues.
Don’t know a thing about them, other than the weird convertible variant they
came out with was one of the fugliest t

Not a vision obscuring cloud, but still one that I noticed while it was
a good bit behind me. Killed the fan and put the heater in recirc to
lessen the burning oil smell as it went by. Was surprised to find that
the smoke did

One of my high school English teachers told the story about how when she got
her first car nobody ever told her she needed to check the oil so she drove it
until it ran out of oil and the engine locked up. Her second car she checked
the oil religiously and added every time it needed but nobody e
That sounds like the joke that I read on the net a few days ago. It goes
something like this:
I was driving down the road and as I passed a lady riding a bicycle I
yelled "COW". She gave me a dirty look and the finger. Then she rode
smack into the back of the cow that was in front of her.
Oh
Put him in for a Darwin award.
