The range on electric is still pretty short also IIRC. Don't think it

I never understood the race to go with Hybrids or EVs when diesels
already have the fuel distribution network in place, the repairs
facilities are numerous and qualified and just as importantly, ther
still see on the road?
Actually to answer my own question, the largest numbers of '80s cars I see are
(in declining order) Mercedes, Volvo and Volkswagen. Considering how cheaply
made the VWs were its amazing...

gives significantly worse milage than an identical car without the

The other thing to consider is that open highway driving with a hybrid

batteries and electric motor(s). They are only an advantage in stop
and go conditions, so if you drive more than three or four miles

his prices are better than the local dealers. I've read a lot of good
things about the Passat and nothing bad.
I drove a Mercedes C class loaner from the dealer and wasn't impressed
