Second that emotion!

Could someone take pity on a poor retch like me (and dare I think there
might be others out there?) and explain how to use the MC Report Generator?
Its abstruse capabilities have eluded my grasp on several attempts, yet
several people on this list have referred to it as a terrific little tool.

Okay... a request for MetaCard 2.3 (or any relatively soon upgrade) :
soundchannels. They're the most useful things I can think of for a
program that does sound. Is this a wanted feature? It sure is for me...
so many uses for it in games... and other utilities... an idea.
Hopefully it gets

There's been a TON of discussion about printing lately... nice to see this
thread revived. Some of us (count me in) would KILL for better printing.
I'm doing lesson planning software right now, and printing has been a big
pain in my... well anyway, I did come up with a solution, based on an idea

In fairness to Mark Lucas, the externals don't work in MC and HC; they
work very well in SuperCard, for which they were written.

Dear MetaCard developpers,
Count me in the list of those who think that MC users should be able
to print directly from MetaCard. A software that has, as one of it's
main goals, the sharing of data, should be able to print that data as
it appears on screen or through a report template in an intuit

Please don't come to that conclusion! Printi

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I've always been a strong proponent of
a dedicated layout environment without runtime

I apologize for the tone -- it is a result of spending weeks trying to
print from MetaCard, using several different techniques, none of which
worked successfully and all of which were way too much trouble for what
I was trying

Let me chime in to say that I would have liked better printing
capabilities on several occasions. I did try the Report Generator some
time ago, but frankly, I couldn't figure out how to make it work, and
for my particular need, I was able to solve the problem another way,
although not without quit
Jacqueline responded to a statement that a user rarely has a need to
print anything from Metacard:
