Robert Benson's TWILIGHT (1998) had Newman carrying a film at 73 along side
Gene Hackman and James Garner (two other greats) and it turned out to be one of
the best films of the year. He certainly pulled it off. One of my favorite

Freeman always has a emotional ability to conjure up thought as the rest

I grew up in the 50's, and thus, all my boyhood film heroes were the male
superstars of the day. I remember what a great impact On the Waterfront had on
me, and even at that tender age I somehow found a "connect" with all the
rebels: Brando of course, James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause, Sal Mi
In listing my favorite "Paul Newman" movies, I forgot to mention Cat on a
Hot Tin Roof, probably because I don't really think of it as a "Paul Newman
movie" because of the incredible performances by Taylor and Ives. But it IS

really a "TRUE" legend. This is a very sad day for everyone. I knew he was
extremely ill. I like to think of him in heaven now with his good friend Steve
