This short haiku says a lot about my life right now.
My wife and I are moving to Akron, Ohio. I will now be working for
Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, in a role in their global PMO...those

My neighborhood trees are greened out ... the mature red oaks, silver
maples, Green Ash, White and Pitch Pines attracted many waves of
passerines today that I saw by noon.
The first wave at 7 am was the best I saw, here is what I tallied:

MSP airport-2.5 hours of scoping and driving and scanning and squinting. The
one living thing we found was this rodent at the glycol plant on Cargo Road. I
am not certain, but I believe it is a dark phase Deer Mouse.

A SWIFT NIGHT OUT is a continent-wide
Yesterday morning (Thursday) at Jirik Sod Farms in Farmington, Dakota
County, Peter Neubeck and I watched flocks of Buff-breasted Sandpipers
forage and fly. The birds were viewed from 7:00 AM until 9 AM, during
which time they restricted their movements to the fields east of Blaine
Avenue, south

in the waterfall in my backyard, Ouzels they certainly aren't, yet if

Yesterday , 5/4 I observed at least a dozen Chimney Swifts coursing very
high above the East Bank of the U of MN. Good to hear their twittering
and to see their cigar bodies and scimitar wings slicing up the late
afternoon air.
