For a Visual C++ project open Properties->Configuration Properties- General and change Platform Toolset from the default v100 to Windows7.1 SDK. I tried this setting and then tried to build again. The build failed again. The errors that I got were all similar so I'm just going to show one: 6

I downloaded and installed Microsoft Windows SDK v7.1 and then attempted to build lib_mpir_nehalem on Visual Studio 2010 Express. The build failed. I'm not sure that this list allows attachments but I'm going to attempt to attach the contents of the "Output" window. My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate

Since the release of Visual C++ Express 2010, Microsoft have said that x64 builds will be possible with this product once it is augmented with the'soon to be released' Windows 7 SDK. SInce a new version of the Windows 7 + Net Framework 4 SDK was released in mid May here: http://www.microsoft.com/
